The Association is a Kansas-based 501(c)3 whose mission is to ensure successful and sustainable memorial stair climbs through:

• establishment of a unifying and commonly declared purpose 
  
  
• sanctioning of honorable memorial events that pay tribute to the sacrifices of fallen heroes, 
  
  
• comprehensive administrative support, 
  
  
• the sharing, development and implementation of best practices and guidelines, and
  
  
• an event’s ability to retain local control, eliminating interference from unnecessary outside or political influences.
