The Association exists as a unifying organization to support the efforts of memorial stair climbs.  To that end climbs can be classifed into Sanctioned, Affiliated or Recognized events.  Click on the links below to find out more specific information including qualifications, requirements and a complete list of benefits for each class of event. 

BENEFITS OF SANCTIONED EVENTS:
Sanctioned events are events that enjoy the full support and receive all benefits that the Association can provide to them while maintaining the ability to retain local control and identity.  Planners of Sanctioned events have the ability to control their destiny by serving on the Association's Board of Directors and/or committees within the Association.   Members of the planning committees are also invited to attend (at no cost) the annual climb planners conference.

BENEFITS OF AFFILIATED EVENTS:
Affiliated events are eligible to receive some of the Association's administrative tools and support while existing as an event that falls under a separate stand-alone non-profit (or equivalent) organization.  Affiliated event planners are invited to attend the annual climb planners conference at their own expense. 

BENEFITS OF RECOGNIZED EVENTS: 
Recognized events that support the Declaration of Memorial Stair Climbs are listed on our site  and receive the Association's quarterly newsletter.
