Recognized Climbs
Recognized Climbs are events that share values and philosophy as defined by the Association's Declaration of Memorial Stair Climbs. Recognized Climbs do not receive Association support or benefits, however, they may apply to become Sanctioned or Affiliate Climbs at any time.

The benefits of becoming a Recognized Climb include:
QUALIFICATIONS
To become a Recognized Climb the event must be primarily memorial in nature, cannot exist strictly as a physical competition and must not be organized solely to fundraise (regardless of the event beneficiary/ies).
REQUIREMENTS
An event desiring to become Recognized by the Association must provide proof that they meet the qualifications of the Classification and must complete, sign and return the Declaration of Memorial Stair Climbs. Events receive Recognized Climb status each year.
There is no financial requirement (fee) attached to Recognized Status.
PROCESS
An event wishing to obtain Recognized status should complete the online form below. Once the submission is received the Association will contact the event, verify that the qualifications are met and once Declaration is received by the Association, event will be listed as a Recognized Climb on our site.
