Sanctioned Climbs

Sanctioned events are an extension of the Association and legally conduct business under the Association's 501(c)3 status.

BENEFITS
Sanctioned events enjoy the full support and receive all benefits that the Association can provide events while maintaining the ability to retain local control and identity.  Planners of Sanctioned events have the ability to control their destiny by serving on the Association's Board of Directors and/or committees.

QUALIFICATIONS
In order to become a Sanctioned Climb an event must successfully complete an application process which includes a background check of key event planners.

REQUIREMENTS
Planners for sanctioned climbs enter into a contract with the Association and are mandated to follow all guidelines and best practices identified/developed by the Association.  The climb operates as an extension (dba) of the Association in the climb's state.
Sanctioned climbs operate under and must utilize bank accounts, insurance and other legal and administrative resources that belong to the Association.

PROCESS
